Make sure you’re financing is already in place before you start home shopping, so when you find the house of your dreams you’re prepared and able to make an offer and not risk losing it to another buyer.

Prepare your home as a product, try to see it from the buyers’ eyes. Clean and declutter so prospective buyers can see the great selling features of your home and aren’t distracted by personal items.

I have worked with many first-time homebuyers, established homeowners moving up, older clients who are downsizing, and residential investors.

I recently helped a family with grown children sell their rural family home, and purchase a lower maintenance single level home closer to town. It was an emotional time for them, they had put a lot into the home over the years and made many memories there. I was honored they chose me to help them through this transition time. I was able to help them get a great sales price which allowed them to purchase their final dream home, and both transactions went smoothly. They have settled in nicely to their new home and are enjoying making new memories there.

I fell in love with real estate as a teenager when my family was looking to move from the home I grew up in. I was enamored with our Realtor, she was smart, confident, professional, and got to look at so many different homes. I wanted to be just like her! I loved the process of looking at other homes and getting our home ready to sell. Ever since then I have always had my eye on the market. I got my Ohio real estate license in the early 90’s when I was just 19. In my mid 20’s I moved to Arizona and ended up in the mortgage industry for almost 10 years. I eventually moved back to Ohio and stayed home with my 3 young children, but once my youngest child was in school full-time I decided I wanted to go back to my original love of real estate sales and got licensed again and have been selling in central Ohio ever since. I am doing what I love and that is such a blessing.

My 10 years in the mortgage industry have given me a real full picture view of the real estate market and home buying and selling process. I feel I am able to better prepare and educate my clients while helping them navigate the financing and real estate aspects of buying or selling a home, and show them how it all intertwines. I feel my experience helps me help my clients better understand their buying power, where their money goes and why. My understanding of the mortgage industry also allows me to better communicate with my client’s lender and make sure that side of the transaction goes smoothly.
