I cannot say enough nice things about Jeff Hway at Bear Island realty. As a single mother who left a rapidly declining city in California for a better life for her two young children, Jeff helped me navigate the Ely real estate world and steered me in the best direction possible for my kids and I. I wasn't always an easy customer, and he was patient in explaining to me why one house was a better fit than the other. I appreciate all of his hard work, including meeting me at the crack of dawn before I hopped on a flight from Minneapolis, to check out one more house which ended up being the one I bought! Jeff was an absolute professional in the sale of my Ely house of 23 years. Although I had bought several houses, this was my first time to sell a house. Jeff very patiently walked me through every step of the process. As the house was over 100 years old, there were a number of checklist items to work through, both with inspections, and city requirements. He worked with me on every item, to make sure all was eventually completed. Jeff never hesitated to take my calls, and patiently answered any questions or concerns that I presented. Jeff managed to find the absolute perfect buyer for my house, which even alleviated some of the emotional feelings about losing a dear place in this great town. I would highly recommend Jeff and his team at Bear Island Realty. I will not hesitate to use them again on my next Ely area housing transaction, and I recommend you do the same!

No one knows Ely lake country like Jeff Hway.
