In my life I have worked with five real estate agents; out of those five, Jeff Garthwait is the only one I would recommend without reservation. At each stage of the process Jeff listened to what we were looking for, made suggestions, kept us informed of new properties which were entering the market within our specifications, and provided honest evaluations of the homes as we looked at them. While going through houses Jeff kept an eye out for issues we might not have noticed while also providing rough estimates of what remediating those problems would cost us after a sale closed; if a home was going to be exceedingly difficult to bring up to snuff or more work than it would be worth, he would say so and we appreciated that. Once we found the house we wanted, Jeff engaged to try and get us the best price possible, keeping us updated on what the other agent was saying and what we could expect; after a deal was reached he continued to keep us informed with regular updates on what to expect next and did so all the way through closing. Beyond closing, Jeff also assisted us by coordinating the resolution of an issue that was only discovered on final inspection; we know he had no legal obligation to do this but having his help to resolve the problem was invaluable and something we appreciated greatly. Jeff was awesome to work with! He helped me sell my home and purchase another. Along the way, he was patient, informative, and available when I needed him.
