While excelling as the Office Assistant at Engel & Voelkers Vail for two years, Jay used this time to learn from the best 35 luxury Real Estate brokers in the industry. He was fully licensed within his first year. Recognizing the incredible opportunity, Jay's desire to be the most successful propelled him to seek the tutelage of Tyra Rudrud. Tyra has been of the most successful (and respected) brokers in Eagle County for over 25 years. Fortunately, Tyra valued Jay's work ethic, and his commitment to Engel & Voelkers Advisors and their individual success, so she hired Jay as her first assistant, ever. The first year Jay joined Tyra she had a record year topping more than $65 million in transaction volume. While still working closely with Tyra, Jay is an Associate Broker meaning he represents his own clients who Buy and Sell real estate in Vail, Colorado. He typically works with Sellers listing their property for top dollar. His experience in volatile markets has given him the ability to see past the noise of the market and represent you as a Buyer or Seller in a fiduciary capacity. Knowing each market segment is what Jay prides himself on. When he is not working you can find Jay snowboarding at Vail or Beaver Creek in the winter or fly fishing on the Eagle River in the summer.
