I recently sold a rental property, I am disappointed by the lack of attention to detail before my property was listed. My property was listed and shown with obvious defects, gutter drooping from the roof, lights not working, fireplace not working, piping pulled from the hot water tank, air conditioner not working properly. Being 3000 miles away I needed a professional to ensure my property was ready and I thought that was happening. I took a lower offer on the premise that the market was not there. only after accepting the offer did I see the buyers home inspection. It was clear why I had many viewings but only one low offer.
