If you are thinking about buying or selling a house, I highly recommend Janice Maynard.Before we listed our house, we tried FSBO, talked with a aEURoewe buy / cash offeraEUR? company, a bare-bones real estate company, and had an investor make a aEURoequick sale / no complicationsaEUR? offer (for which there were several complications) all in the effort to save the cost of high commissions. Finally we realized we needed a professional to handle the whole process and we reached out to Janice Maynard. She was up-front about the fees and what work we would need to do to get top-dollar.After taking the time to execute her advice about prepping the house and staging (if she tells you to remove the rug, remove the rug!!) we listed our house. We had over 20 showings and 3 offers on the 1st day. We were under contract 12 hours after our 1st showing! And did I mention we were out of town for all of that? Janice handled the negotiations while we were on vacation with a few texts and phone calls.During the month or so we were under contract, she advised us during the appraisal, inspection, and closing process.
