1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
The first and best thing to do is to get pre-qualified. There's nothing more heartbreaking than to fall in love with your dream home only to find out, it's over your price point. Also, pre-qualified buyers have a better chance of obtaining their dream home because Sellers will accept an offer faster with a pre-qualified buyer, rather than an unqualified buyer. I have mortgage brokers that I've worked for 8 years with a wealth of experience in the field to help buyers through the process.
2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Condition, location, and price are the main reasons buyers buy a home. You can't do much about the location but you certainly can control condition and price. As far as condition is concerned, buyers will most likely give lower offers on homes that are not kept up. This is due to buyers adding up repairs in their heads and most of the time those figures are inflated. I give each seller a list of suggestions to help them get the best price on their home. I have an inspection list showing them what inspectors look for on a home inspection so we are prepared for the buyers' inspection, how to get the maximum curb appeal to attract the most buyers, and how to get ready for the professional photographer to make their home shine in the photos.
3. What types of clients have you worked with?
I have worked with relocation customers, first time home buyers, repeat buyers, first-time sellers, and repeat sellers, retirees and downsizing couples and singles. I have sold many new construction homes as well. I have experience with all types of family needs and wants.
4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I have many fond memories and multiple wonderful sales from retired couples, newly married couples and singles just starting out. It's a beautiful thing to see all these wonderful people getting the home that will enhance their lives and supply a comfortable environment for their families. It is a very rewarding experience.
5. How did you get started in Real Estate?
I was a Manager that was laid off from a multi-billion dollar company after 13 years of service and decided that I would try something different than corporate work. Since I had experience in contracts, reading, editing and creating new verbiage for contracts on multi-family and single-family field contracts, working with lawyers, CEOs, and presidents of companies it was an easy transition to real estate. With my wealth of experience in these fields is what makes the difference between me and other agents that don't have that experience. The contract language in the most expensive investment you will make in a lifetime is very important and I have the experience to create language when needed that will protect my buyers and sellers.
6. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
Every year I attend multiple special education classes in real estate that gives me the knowledge to help my clients. I am in classes continually to keep up on the market and market trends to better serve my clients. I've taken the ABR, SFR, Code of Ethics and Core Classes just to name a few.
