My advice before going out to see any house, is to get pre-qualified. Once you know what you qualify for, you can now narrow down your search by price, city, bedroom and bathroom count. What a lot of buyers are not aware of is that when you browse thru Realtor .com, Zillow, Trulia or any other one of those websites and "click" on a house for more information, 99% of the time you are not contacting the agent selling the house. You will be speaking with a random agent that may or may not now the area, may or may not have experience to guide you thru purchasing that home or any other home. Find a real estate agent that is patient to understand what exactly you are looking for and is experienced to explain the process to you BEFORE you start looking at houses. If you are thinking of selling your home, I advice you to speak with a real estate agent. As property owners our first questions is "how much is my property worth" and start clicking thru websites to find out the value. These websites are usually NOT correct and are sometimes off by quite a bit. Beware of the agents that are advertising to sell your home at a very low fee, there's always a catch. I have been fortunate to have worked with many families and individuals here in California, and Kansas and Missouri. From 1st time home buyers, to families that own their home that need to sell and purchase their next home, to individuals that purchase or sell their commercial investment properties.
Before I got started in Real Estate, I worked at Credit Unions, Mortgage Broker and small Private Commercial Banks. I did it all while working at the credit unions, starting as a bank teller to move up to call center, new accounts, car loans, credit cards/small personal loans. I moved on to a Mortgage Broker working on Residential and Commercial purchase and refinance loans. I then worked at a private commercial bank as a commercial loan officer for a few years and while working in the banking world, I got my real estate license. I then decided to transition into a full time real estate agent.
I do believe that I have the sufficient education and experience to help both buyers and sellers with their real estate needs. I was first a loan officer for many years before transitioning into a realtor. I understand the loan process to help guide buyers to better understand that process and help sellers screen any buyers that are interested to purchase their properties. As a real estate agent for over 13 years, I have the experience and education to properly help my buyers and sellers thru their escrows, from the beginning to the close. I have closed both Residential and Commercial properties here in California, Missouri and Kansas.
