Interview Realtors for the position as your Buyer Agent. Make sure they are knowledgeable on the area/community where you'd like to purchase a home. Get your pre-approval from a reputable lender. Your Buyer Agent can introduce you to lenders. Have your agent set up a broad search for properties for you and step into the process with an open mind. It has been a Seller's market in our marketplace for the last couple of years as inventory has been very low. Have faith, Have fun and be patient.
Prepare your home to market for sale. Interview 3 Realtors asking them to prepare a comparative market analysis and marketing plan presentation. Your agent should counsel you on the best way to prepare your home and price your home based on the current market. Make sure you have the utmost confidence in your marketing agent and enforce upon them the importance of communicating with you during the process of marketing, negotiating, inspections...and all the way to the Settlement Table.

My background is in marketing and public relations working in the tourism/non-profit/retail and/development industries in the Philadelphia area. I was ready for a change and to create a "more flexible" schedule as my sons were growing and I launched a career in real estate in 2001. I have not looked back. It has been a terrific opportunity to sell the community I love and match home buyers and sellers with the right homes. A wonderful career.
I believe in education...learning thru daily experiences in real estate transactions and learning thru continuing education offered by the Bucks County Association of Realtors or the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission. My clients count on me having the most up-to-date knowledge on contracts/forms, etc. If there is a chance for me to take a class, I'll be the first one to sign up...and encourage members of my sales team at Class-Harlan to also sign up.
