2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Use a listing agent that has 5+ years of experience, and has excellent verified reviews on sites like Zillow.com. You need a motivated agent (one with kids under roof, bills to pay) is your best choice! You should interview agents and pay attention to their marketing plan. You should be able to tell who is "playing real estate" and who has a well thought out and comprehensive marketing strategy.
3. What types of clients have you worked with?
Buyers: First time buyers, investors, vacation home purchases, foreclosure and distressed purchases, condos, homes, land, new construction.
Sellers: Lot owners, condo owners, residential owners, short-term (vacation) rented property, long-term rented property, short sale situations, out of state owners.
4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
This is a hard one to answer. Having sold over 650, I really enjoy all types of sales, but perhaps the most rewarding are those where a family needs to sell one house to purchase another that is more suitable due to life changes. When that happens and the timing goes off perfectly, it is a great feeling that I was able to help a family in this way.
5. How did you get started in Real Estate?
I stumbled into the business after working for many years in youth ministry. I knew I liked to help people, but starting to have children increased the budget quite a bit, so I needed to earn more income. Having a strong work ethic, and enjoying working with people of all walks of life, real estate was a natural fit for me and has been a career path that has worked out very well for myself and my clients who receive top shelf service.
6. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
Trial by fire! Over 20 years have sold all types of properties to all types of people, and the experience I have is now very valuable to my clients.
