ZillowVERIFIEDWe have bought several multifamily properties in the Kingston area over the last few years. Each of the three times weve tried buying a house represented by Greg Berardi or his company, the deals fell through after inspection. Whether the decisions came from him or his sellers we cant say, but we experienced a consistent refusal to address legitimate buyer concerns, and to negotiate reasonably and in good faith.Of the three houses, two clearly had mold. The sellers not only refused to reduce the price for the cost of mold remediation, they wouldnt even acknowledge there was a mold problem. In one, Berardis associate Yamiel Nunez told us if we offered the full asking price aEUR" more than we thought was reasonable aEUR" they would stop showing the house. After they accepted our offer, inspections revealed problems, and we requested a price reduction along with a vendors quote for mold remediation, she stopped communicating with us and put the property back on the market.In two of the houses, the attics were inaccessible and the sellers wouldnt address reasonable requests to enable inspectors to view them. In two of these cases, the sellers insisted on making repairs themselves, instead of making a price concession so we could pay our own independent contractors, to be sure the jobs were done correctly. Three strikes and were out. We will no longer look at any property that Berardi or his firm are selling.
