Get to know Gabriela A-Team Smooth Sailing! Back in Brazil, where I'm from, I never thought about being a REALTOR. I used to work as an editor for a daily newspaper. During the summer vacations, I managed several luxurious vacation homes on the Sao Paulo coastline as a side job. My family was involved in real estate, my brother-in-law was a Broker, my baby sister was a real estate lawyer for a while, and my mom was a savvy RE investor, always buying, flipping, and selling. We moved so many times! I didn't realize how real estate was woven into my journey. That is, until I moved to the USA. I quickly realized I needed to work to help with my new household. I believe everyone has a mission in life and that we are made for so much more than just paying bills. With little English at the time, my journalism career wouldn't have flown here. Then, I saw an ad for a real estate class in the local paper, and that was my "aha" moment. It all made sense. I've always had the desire to help others, and I found my way through real estate. Over the past 16+ years, I've developed the Gabriela A-Team System, which helps families upsize and find their next home in St. Mary's and Calvert counties, and guides sellers moving out of Southern Maryland through a smooth, strategic sale. Gabriela A-Team is a small "Navy SEAL" style team focused on excellence. We're always evolving, staying current with marketing trends, and truly listening to our clients' goals, timelines, and concerns. We get the job done. Our mottos are "Smooth Sailing" and "Doing things the right way." My team has only two agents and we've helped move over $14 million in real estate in 2024 alone, and more than $10 million already in the first half of 2025. I stay sharp through training with the #1 real estate coach in America, Tom Ferry, and marketing mentorship through The Listing Lab. I speak English and Portuguese, and understand some Spanish. I hold a bachelor's degree in Physical Education and bring my patience with kids into the real estate process, so much so that I have a "kids' contract" to hire them as assistants during the sale.
