Fara Captain

Fara Captain, REALTOR® is the Founder of Captain & Co. Real Estate. She is a dynamic change-maker who believes in building an inclusive environment in both the real estate industry and in the City of Memphis. Fara is a Multi-Million Dollar Club Life member and is consistently ranked in the top 2% of Memphis Area REALTORS®. She was an Executive of the Year Honoree by the Memphis Business Journal in 2020, RRC's 2021 Young Professional winner, and a StyleBlueprint FACE of Memphis. In 2021, Captain was selected by RIS Media as a Crusader for the ally-ship efforts on speaking up against racism. She was featured on the front cover for the Residential Specialist magazine as a young CRS making a difference in the Nov/Dec 2020 issue. She is the TN Realtor's Association Diversity Committee Vice Chair, the RRC TN State President, and is this year's MAAR Diversity and Inclusion Committee Chair. She sits on the Women's Foundation Memphis-Grants Committee and is a member of the Young Professionals Network where she served as President in 2018. She is a member of the Memphis Area Association of Realtors and the Chamber of Commerce-Young Professional Council. She is a current RPAC Sterling Contributor and a Multi-Million Dollar Club Life Member. In 2019, she completed the Unpacking Racism class through the Civil Rights Museum. Following the completion of the class, Fara co-organized "Putting Race on the Table" with the National Civil Rights Museum. Additionally, Fara is creating "non-judgement zones" for fellow allies to step forward in their efforts to move towards racial equity. In 2021, Captain completed her certification in Diversity and Inclusion at eCornell University. Fara teaches a class on how to be an Inclusive REALTOR & How to be an Inclusive Leader to her fellow Council of Residential Specialist peers (CRS members are the top 5% of REALTORS in the nation) and fellow Tennessee REALTORS®. She meets with fellow passionate DEI (Diversity Equity Inclusion) Memphis leaders to discuss ways that Memphians can continue to inspire the community into a more Inclusive environment. In 2021, Fara acquired her Mississippi Broker License. Captain's drive and determination to fill a much-needed gap in the Memphis real estate community was a result of personal perseverance combined with a huge thirst for knowledge. Fara already holds the following real estate related certifications and designations: CRS, ABR®, SRS, GRI, At home with Diversity, PSA & SRES and is an avid Ninja. She is currently working on growing the next generation of real estate leaders through her firm Captain & Co. Real Estate LLC. They continuously rank in the top 15% of Real Estate Firms in the area. She believes all agents deserve individual coaching and she ensures her agents put their clients' needs first. Under Mrs. Captain's leadership, they are determined to give back to the Memphis community one home at a time. Her company's vision is to give back to the community through volunteering and community outreach. One of their Give Back Goals by 2025 is to build one home a year for a Memphis family in need. Captain recently created a sister company Anchor Love LLC. This company will focus on building more affordable homes in the Memphis area. Fara strives to be an inclusive human and is passionate about inspiring others to follow along. She is a proud mom of two humans and one pup and a dedicated wife to her husband Chris.
