I have been a Hays resident for 50 years. Coming to Hays in 1967 to work at KAYS Radio & Television. After eleven years I became a REALTOR in 1978. I have helped numerous families find their dream home. My passion is to educate first time buyers and assist them in making their first purchase. In addition, I enjoy visiting with seniors making the transition in downsizing or moving to assisted living. My business philosophy is to give better service than my competition. I pride myself in providing service with integrity, honesty and competency. I am actively involved in the real estate industry as I am serving my second term on the Kansas Real Estate Commission. Twice I have been president of the Hays Board of REALTORS. I was a member of the first Kansas Real Estate Appraisal Board and am currently a Certified General Property Appraiser. During my 39 years as a REALTOR I have achieved several industry designations they are; Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) and Brokers Price Opinion REALTOR (BPOR). The Hays Board of REALTORS awarded me the 2015 REALTOR of the Year award at the annual banquet. Community involvement is important to me as I like to give back to my community. I served on the Hays Airport Advisory for 21 years, presently the community representative for the Fort Hays State University Human Subjects Research Institutional Review Board (IRB). I have been a member of the Civil Air Patrol for 50 years. Personal interest includes photography, model railroads, and gardening. I have been married to the same woman for 49 years; have four grown children and eight grandchildren.
