1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
I like to focus on 3 things: education, readiness and strategy. Know your budget, top 5 wants/needs, and timeline. Pair that with a strong pre-approval from a reputable local lender (I have recommendations!) so you’re competitive the moment the right property hits the market. In Minnesota and Wisconsin, conditions can shift quickly, so I coach buyers on pricing trends, neighborhood nuances and offer strategy that actually win without unnecessary risk. My job is to keep you grounded, informed and positioned to make smart decisions at each step!
2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Condition, pricing and timing determine your outcome. Most sellers underestimate how quickly buyers judge a home and how much presentation influences perceived value. I guide clients through a focused prep plan: which updates matter, which don’t and how to make every showing count. Once the home is market-ready, I combine strong data, elevated marketing, and firm negotiation to protect your price and timeline. When sellers follow the plan, results are much more predictable!
3. What types of clients have you worked with?
A wide range! First-time buyers, move-up sellers, downsizers, new construction clients, acreage, lake-home buyers and investors building long-term portfolios. I also work with short-term rental owners, out-of-state relocations and clients who need both purchase and sale coordination. My background in marketing, sales, design strategy and investment analysis helps me support clients with different goals and decision styles.
4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
A family relocating to the Twin Cities wanted to stay near White Bear Lake but assumed they were priced out. We reviewed neighborhood-by-neighborhood pricing, taxes, and renovation potential, and identified a property that had been overlooked because the photos didn’t do it justice. After a clean inspection, I negotiated a purchase under budget, leaving room for immediate equity through targeted cosmetic updates. They closed with confidence and a home that aligned with both lifestyle and long-term value. Smooth, efficient, and grounded in data.
A seller in the northeast suburbs needed to list quickly but assumed their home required major updates. We walked the property, prioritized a short list of high-impact prep items, and skipped the unnecessary projects that wouldn’t change the outcome. After strategic timing, staging adjustments, and professional marketing, the home pulled multiple strong offers within the first weekend. The final buyer waived minor repairs and closed cleanly. The client ended up above their target price with less prep cost and less disruption than expected.
5. How did you get started in Real Estate?
I started in real estate after 14 years in corporate marketing, where I was already developing strategies and making complex decisions with high financial impact. As an investor and short-term rental owner myself, I was always analyzing markets, opportunities and property potential. Becoming a full-time agent was a natural extension of what I was already doing while guiding people through often the biggest transaction of their lives with clarity, strategy and calm execution.
6. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
Yes. I’m licensed in both Minnesota and Wisconsin, trained in market analysis, negotiation strategy, and home preparation and staging. My background also includes investment evaluation, short-term rental operations and consumer marketing. Beyond the formal education, I bring experience from 250+ homes sold in a variety of price points from $100k-$2M, property types and client profiles.
