My wife and I have spent considerable time researching real estate over the last few years as we looked into selling our first home and having a new home built, and now we're researching another new home. Throughout this process, we've been actively involved in both the buying/building and selling of our homes. We've looked at a wide variety of pre-existing homes, viewing homes with many varied floor plans and in various states of disrepair. We've worked with architects, builders, subcontractors, and vendors on all aspects of home construction.
