Most agents tend to either try to sell your house as-is, or require changes to be made; either way, it takes the choice away from you! That is why, rather than telling you what to do, I prefer to give you options! As part of our consultation, I'll be able to walk you through the choices you have when it comes to selling your house and allow you to select what you want based on your circumstances and goals. Particularly if you also plan to purchase another home after selling your current one, it is important that we take your financial and timeline goals into account to help you get there and give you the most purchasing power moving forward! Even better, if we decide together that your house does not require any extra attention, you will actually pay me a lower commission when your house is sold! I find it unfair to charge someone for services they don't want or need. I developed my approach while working as a dispatcher for a trucking company prior to getting into real estate. In that position, it was my job to know exactly where everyone was, what everyone was doing, and to ensure that everyone was making the progress that we expected and needed them to make. Doing that successfully came from 1) always knowing the options we had available, 2) making smart decisions to put together a plan that we then implemented and monitored, and 3) continuing to be the coordinator of the operation from start to finish. I like to present options to you, help you choose the best ones, and then coordinate all of the services taking place for you, while "overcommunicating" with both you and those service providers throughout.
