I was born and raised in Sacramento except for a few years near the beaches of Santa Cruz. Now a days when I'm not doing real estate you can find me visiting many of the northern California wineries with my wife or freshwater fishing in my kayak. Derek has good responsiveness when contacted. Easy to reach by phone or email. He is a little lacking in the process but I am sure he will improve this over time. He has good local knowledge where he help me look at houses. He lack of expertise in process some what makes it difficult to work with 1st time buyers unless they have another person to help them out. I will give his negotiation skill 2 stars because he was pretty much not much help on this area. Other than that he is nice and easy to communicate with. I will do business with him again and by then I am sure he will develop more experience.

Derek Jones is the best real estate agent in California. I highly recommend him if you are looking to either sell our buy a home. Derek helped us sell our home. Derek was very quick to respond to our initial inquiry and was very honest about any questions that we had in regard to his opinions when asked about the properties we toured. He was very understanding and not pushy when our situation became unstable when COVID hit and we had to take a break. Once we were a little more sure of things he was quick to find some additional listings that fit our requests, which eventually led to the house we ended up buying. We were first time home buyers and he was very knowledgeable and patient in explaining through the process. The seller of our property was difficult to deal with, but Derek guided us through the process and worked diligently behind the scenes to make it all happen as smoothly as he could. Overall very happy working with Derek. He's very communicative and quick in his work, oftentimes even going as far as responding on his days off. You won't be disappointed if you go with him as your agent.
