About Derek Essary

Derek Essary is a third-generation Gilroy real estate agent whose roots in the south bay run deep. He was born and raised in Gilroy and attended the Gilroy Early College Academy or "GECA" then received his B.S. in Business Administration through San Jose State University. Brittany Walker grew up in the Salinas Valley where her family business- Slaton & Son Roofing has thrived for over 40 years. She attended Notre Dame High School then went on to achieve her B.S. in Business Administration through Ashford University. They have been licensed since 2015 and have been fortunate to help over 200 families buy or sell real estate. Derek just helped my husband and I buy our first home in Gilroy and we couldn't be more excited! Derek is an amazing person with so much patience and understanding. As first time home buyers, and in the CRAZY market you will need someone who has your back, who can hold your hand and walk you through this process and who has an amazing team of people behind him. We had so many questions and some I even asked again because I forgot the answer and he was always responsive and ready to answer every question 10 times if he has to. I recommend him to any buyer, first time or not! Derek was our guy, our homie, our buddy who had our back throughout this whole process, and now we live in this huge beautiful home where I watch deer come into our back yard and chill.
