We hired Derek because he had sold a house in our neighborhood that had previously been sitting on the market. We were impressed that he was able to sell it right away, so when it came time to list our home for sale we called him. He is extremely knowledgeable about the area and of current real estate market conditions. We recently purchased a home in Avon CT with Derek's help. If you've shopped for a house you know the feeling you get as you browse the different sites and deal with multiple agents. You quickly get lost in the myriad of sites and agents whom you see for a property and then never again. That's how we stumbled on Derek. From the get go he was very organized, responsive and professional. He stuck with us from that day and after seeing 30+ properties we found the one we eventually bought. We were coming from out of state and with Covid delays had to manage our two sales at once. Derek proved to be patient, knowledgeable on not only the Real Estate process in CT but in NY as well. He expertly negotiated the three extensions we required to complete our purchase. He talked us down off the ledge on multiple occasions when the stress of the process was getting to us. Through it all he was great to work with. I hope to not have to buy/sell again but if I do I would definitely work with Derek again. If you're looking for a realtor I doubt you could do better than Derek.
