Make sure you have a pre approval letter from your lender so that you know exactly how much you can spend, know what you want and drive the neighborhoods before seeing the homes to make sure it is where you want to live. Take pen and paper for notes,try not to see anymore than 3 or 4 homes a day so that you don't get confused. Wear comfortable shoes that you can take off if requested to by the seller. Be patient, and have fun!

Stage your home so that it looks like a model home. Keep it clean and beds made. Never leave anything of value, or prescription drugs out in the open. If you are home when buyers come, try to stay outside so that they can view the home in private, and don't answer questions or exchange numbers. We will be glad to explain the reasons for this upon request. Be prepared for people to come to your door uninvited, tell them to call your agent.
