While we have sold numerous homes over the past 40+ years it's been a while since we have sold a house. Much has changed. We interviewed several realtors in the Barrington area and the formula was the same. Make everything white, stage the house at your expense....and sell at below market so their percent to asking ratio is in the high 97% or better. We had a very specific area in mind; wanting to downsize from an almost 7,000 sf home to something much more manageable. The market spike was over, but our subdivision was still very hot. What we were seeing was a group of agents that really didn't want to work hard for their sizable commission. We were fortunate to get in touch with Dean Tuberkis and his exceptional team. As we talked with Dean, we learned how critical he would be to our overall success. He sat, listened, asked questions and wanted to know what we wanted to do.
