My first love is my family, but just behind that...Crested Butte. The beauty, the lifestyle and the people. For me, Crested Butte is about slowing down and connecting with people and the beauty that surrounds us. I love that in the morning I can run out my door and go on an amazing trail run, complete with wildflowers and mountain peaks. During the day, I can head to town and get ice cream cones with my kids and sit on our favorite bench connecting with friends and passing tourists. Then to finish the day by going to Carmen, the opera. No wonder I feel so blessed to live here. Below perhaps sums it up best... Before dinner each evening, our family says a grateful prayer and regardless who is saying grace, one of the things that is ALWAYS mentioned in this prayer is "thank you God for this amazing valley we live in".
