We're a Military family who've traveled all over the country, but we've always ended up renting because we never had any luck with our realtors. They would always show us houses we told them we didn't want to see, or they'd try to push us way outside our budget, or you could just tell they were in it for the money and the money alone. We knew Daniel was different right away. For our move to MD we decided to rent at first, and this was no problem for Daniel. He did numerous remote, video walkthroughs for us when we couldn't make the trip out, and what immediately stuck out was his knowledge of houses and construction in general. We felt as though we had our own personal inspector with us every step of the way, and that was extremely comforting. Even though we were "just renting", Daniel didn't make us feel like we were any less important, and we found a great rental that we enjoyed for years.While we were renting, we would reach out to Daniel on occasion to see how the markets were looking, and to ask for his opinions on the different areas. He was always extremely responsive and helpful, even when he knew we weren't actively looking to purchase. When we were finally ready to start looking, honestly, not much changed, in a good way! He was still the same responsive and genuine Daniel we worked with to get the rental, who kept us up to date on housing trends, and who answered every random question we had. We could tell he's passionate about his trade, and he's the kind of person who would treat you the same if you were looking for a 100k house, or 800k. In fact, when we decided ourselves to increase our budget, he had us go back and consider to make sure it was really in our best interests! Incredible. We finally found a house we could see ourselves living in for a long time, and through Daniel's great negotiating skills, we were able to get an offer accepted that we were comfortable with. From there, it honestly felt like autopilot, it was that seamless. Daniel kept track of the entire timeline, and kept us informed of everything we needed to do at the various stages. In fact, our lender was so slow to get back to us that we often went to Daniel instead to find the answer to our questions! This is the kind of realtor you want, especially if you're a first time home buyer. Seriously, don't waste your time with so many others like we did over the years. Daniel Travelpiece is a great person, and the best realtor we've ever had!
