FAQ
1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Working with a buyers agent that works for you, in your best interest, will absolutely make the entire home buying process easy, exciting and fun! The best part is that it doesn't cost you a cent to have an agent working for you, most buyers don't realize this! Just because an agent is showing you houses, usually they are working for the seller and you may miss out on properties that could be an even better fit for you. Its worth it to spend a few minutes discussing a purchase with a certified buyer representitive... this way you can see there are many differences and again, you don't pay for this, the seller still pays the commission, you just get the benefits of having an agent work for you, find you on and off market properties & always negotiate the best price and terms possible.
2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Positioning your home properly in todays constantly changing real estate market, is crucial to selling a house for the most amount of money in the least amount of time. Not all agents are the same...
You need an agent that isn't afraid to tell you what you need to do, so you can get the highest offer possible! Many agents will tell you what you want to hear, then your home just sits on the market and becomes stale, thats the worst!!
I advise you only work with an agent that is ready and willing to put their money where their mouth is, by giving you a full cancellation guarantee in writing. This holds them accountable everyday and also gives you the ability to fire them without any penalty or obligation if they don't do what they say and are not getting the job done. Your home is your biggest investment, make sure you choose an agent that can go to bat for you and negotiate in your best interest!
3. What types of clients have you worked with?
I've worked with many sellers in many different situations. Selling Waterfront homes, Condo's/Co-op's, Luxury Estates, Inherited (probate) Estate sales, Divorces, Trading up to a larger home, Relocations, Military, Pre-foreclosures & Short Sales and so much more, I'm happy to discuss my experience for your specific situation, just reach out to me anytime.
I enjoy working with my buyer clients, whether its First time buyers, purchasing a retirement home, buying a larger place for your growing family and also a buyer that is relocating from another state, which can be complicated, I have the experience to make sure everything goes smooth every step of the way. I look forward to helping your achieve your Real Estate goals!
4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
A recent transaction that stands out to me, would have to be with a beautiful couple I helped buy their first home a few years ago. They just had a baby and they are planning another real soon.
The husband had a job promotion and they knew it was time to make a move. They called me to help them sell their existing home and find them the perfect house with a yard for the kids and their dogs, but they were so worried about timing with her being pregnant and her husband working constantly, I could tell it was feeling like a lot of pressure.
I explained the best way to handle this and that I would be with them at every step to help in everyway I could.
They were happy to know their market value went up, so after helping them stage and explaining the best positioning for the house, they put their home up for sale.
I advised that we immediately start looking for the perfect place they could raise a family... since I spent the time understanding exactly what they wanted, we were able to find it the 2nd time we went out looking, the right house just happened to come out that day!
Now they were getting nervous and didn't want to lose it, I think we spoke 50 times that day just to calm the anxiety and stress...
well the very next day, I was happy to tell them, that we got on an offer on their home. I was able to negotiate them full price in just 9 days on the market, plus with a buyer that was ok with waiting for them to close on their purchase.
I helped them coordinate both the sale and the purchase and now they are happily living in their new home! I still get txts every once in a while with pictures of their baby, thanking me for making it all happen and they still can't believe it wasn't as stressful as they thought.
This is why I love what I do and I wake up everyday with the passion and excitement to help people in their real estate journey!
5. How did you get started in Real Estate?
Growing up in Massapequa Long Island & living on the water, boating, the beach, I loved it all! Working in the computer field throughout high school & college, in 1993 building & fixing them, soon gaining more knowledge & working at Cisco as a Senior Network Engineer.
Still loving computers, but with an equal passion for real estate & investing, I obtained my license in 2003. Only 2 years later, I took my experience from the corporate environment and brought it to real estate, which enabled me to build a 7 person team, being one of the first teams on Long Island, selling around 100 houses a year, being recognized in the top 1% of realtors & growing a successful career, while helping as many people as I could.
I feel it takes a strong dedication to excellence, a constant education in technology, systems & market changes to continue to be successful & offer my clients the absolute best service possible. I feel I continue to bring that same passion and enthusiasm for what I do into my business each and every day!

Dan is a true professional and master of the craft. His years of experience and knowledge is packaged with outstanding communication that is crystal clear and simple. He is quick to action and worked in our best interests when purchasing our new home. I appreciate his in depth knowledge of current market trends along with his extensive experience that allowed to to accurately guide us on cause and effects through current market cycles. He doesnt just show you homes for the sake of "filling" in fodder - the homes suggested to view were aligned to our wants and dont wants - making our home buying experience as succinct and precise and not a waste of our (collectively) time and efforts. From getting our offer submitted, accepted, and throughout the process to close Dan and his team are the "Goldiocks" of communications. Not everyday but just the right cadence to keep us updated in the know and not feel like the deal is falling off the rails. All in all Dan was so impressive - we retained him to sell our previous home - All in all if you need representation on any real estate deal - I highly recommend him and the team overall!

I was contacted by Dan by a text asking if i needed a realtor. He apparently got my name from some research I was doing online. .He sounded like very competent and knowledgeable when i made an appointment to meet him. He accompanied me on only 1 house showing. Other times he would make excuses that he had to go to Florida cause his Dad was ill or other reasons that became a habit. i stayed with him as a client from January to May and he never sent me any possible condos to view. He finally called me and tried to drop me as a client saying that he needed to be in Florida and was afraid he couldn't do the job I entrusted to him. he told me that he wouldn't get insulted if I found another realtor. I finally moved on and hired a very reliable realtor that helped me get the property of my choice. Dan is a nice guy, but, as some people told me, most of his business was in Florida. So, why bother pursuing me as client from the start?

I happen to be one of the lucky individuals. I was made aware of Dan Adams as a realtor when my brother decided to sell his home in Delray. The family was very involved and I watched from a distance. The sale went well for my brother and family. When it was time for me to sell our second home I did not hesitate. I called my sister and asked for his contact info. I called Dan Adams and requested that he meet me the following weekend. I asked him to be my realtor and handed him the keys, then flew back home to Long Island, New York. He became my general contractor and helped me to navigate upgrades for presentment. All this attention to detail during unprecedented times of COVID-19. We communicated through text messages, paperwork through emails, and many times, phone conversations when I just needed to hear his voice when I had questions. Hardworking, available at all times, full of integrity and worthy of my trust. I highly recommend Dan Adams as your realtor, based on my exceptional personal experience. I received my asking price!
