Meet with a lender before you do anything. They can prepare you and get you a head of the game before you start the house buying process. Don’t think all hope is lost if you can’t purchase at this moment. Most great lenders will help you get there in no time at all. Sometimes it is just something small you need to take care of.
Then call me and I promise to be there and help you through the rest of purchasing your new home. I want you to call me even if you are not ready to purchase that home because you will be sooner or later and I want to be the person that helps you get there.
Even if you are thinking of “For Sale by Owner” meet with a realtor. Why? You can get a Market Analysis of your home for one. We all think our home is perfect and we have a number we want to get in our head, but truth be told sometimes that does not match what the market is doing.
Two, you can have them look through your house and tell you what things need to be done to get top dollar. Sometimes those big projects your waiting to get done before listing you home are not necessary. Most agents have a stager on hand to help with getting the home sold fast and at top dollar.
Lastly, there is a lot that happens when selling your home. It is a very stressful process and to have to deal with phone calls, showings, proof of lending/funding, inspections, and paperwork can be overwhelming. To have a professional be there so that you can ask questions or get recommendations when you need helps take some of the stress away.
