Look more than once! That first appointment is for first impressions. Go back and really think about how you and your family will live in that house. That second look can be a revelation, both for houses that were not-quite-right on the first visit, and the ones you fell in love with -- sometimes for all the wrong reasons!

Edit! Unclutter, and get a professional crew in to do a deep clean. Freshen the paint, clean the exterior and pressure clean the sidewalks. When you are competing against new build, you want your home to be band-box fresh!

Love buyers! Love helping them find that perfect home be it a first home or an empty nest downsize or a place for you and the horses. I've worked with them all, and don't really have a favorite type of buyer. Out of town buyers are sort of a semi-specialty for me, and I happily will do Facetime appointments to save them drives. Many have become personal friends.

I've been an editor most of my career, but after moving to Aiken decided I needed to do something else. An opportunity arose, and with the encouragement of a friend I got my license, and haven't looked back. It's a perfect second career: I will work hard and long with my clients, and then, when I'm not as busy, enjoy time with my husband and horses trail riding in the Woods.

While I am a Certified Horse Property Specialist, I also love neighborhood homes. I don't consider myself a one-note Realtor, and am as happy finding a young couple their first home as well as locating that horse property with all the bells and whistles.
