I highly recommend Chris. We closed on our house, in the middle of a scorching seller's market, on a house that worked for us. Praise God.Throughout the homebuying process:Chris was COMMUNICATIVE and PRESENT. You WANT an agent who communicates and is IN on your team... in any market. You don't feel like you're interrupting Chris when you reach out to him. He makes time for his clients. He answers the phone or calls you back. He responds to texts. He sends and replies to emails. He gives you feedback, and he listens. He perceives what you want in a home, takes note of your budget, and looks to see if a home fits your needs. He shows up. If he can't make something, he lets you know. You don't feel like your left hanging, and you don't feel like it's just business with Chris.Chris tapped into his KNOWLEDGE of the area. They say in real estate, it's location, location, location. Chris' office is in Woodland Park, but his knowledge of the real estate scene easily extends beyond Woodland Park. Ask him. You can tell he knows. Real estate agency is a family business for the Leopizzis. He's a local guy with a feel for the market. Go look at houses with him-I learned so much about New Jersey just by viewing houses with Chris. What works? What doesn't work? What should this house go for? Market value? Resellable? Transportation options? What is this location good for? Chris is an excellent resource to bounce things off of.Chris remained FLEXIBLE. Have to rush to get in an offer? That was us. Can't make an inspection? That was us. Have issues with permits? That was us. Those involved in real estate know the list of potential transactional speedbumps can go and on, but Chris worked to roll with the punches. After a contract of ours fell through, Chris went right to scheduling more showings. Things happen. You want an agent that keeps going. FLEXIBLE.Chris WORKED FOR US. Will your agent:Work to make you feel comfortable to make your own well-advised decisions? Give good counsel? Stay on top of the market to look for houses that might suit you? Set up multiple viewings on a single day and time it so you don't stand/sit around wasting time? Home buyers are in an interesting position. The lower the sale price, the lower your agent's commission. Will your agent just look to close a deal or actually look to do what's in your best interest? Chris NEGOTIATED for us; he WORKED FOR US. Whether you're a seller or a buyer, I expect he would do likewise for you.Finally, and this is important. Chris is pretty easy to get along with. That's helpful. At the end of the day, no agent is perfect, so it helps when your agent comes across as being quite down to earth. We're all humans, and when the real estate process runs long, you'd rather have a competent & PERSONABLE agent rather than one that is skillful but difficult.Thumbs up, Chris.
