When you are ready to purchase a home it's important to get prequalified first so that you know what you can afford to spend. The lender can give you estimates of what your monthly mortgage payments so that you are comfortable when making an offer on a home. This information is important in properly writing up your contract and will make for a smooth transaction. Secondly, when searching for homes, be open to broadening your criteria.
Sellers need to prepare their home for sale. When I list your home we will walk through together and I will make recommendations that will improve the marketability. Some examples may be to De-Clutter, Freshen up paint in high traffic areas, Clean out Gardens, Make repairs that have been on hold or have carpets cleaned etc. The most important recommendation is to Be prepared to show the home at all times.

I love to help clients that are downsizing. It's a hard decision to have to get rid of treasured items and leave a family home with so many memories. I will reassure and work with these clients to help them feel comfortable in selling their home to a new family to grow into. At the closing I want to see smiles and not tears.
