Charles is an old-fashioned country gentleman type of person. He's as personable and like-able as they come. When I first started working with him 6 months ago, I told him this is what we're looking for in terms of the minimum number of bedrooms and bathrooms, our preferred area, and our price range. He never ever...NOT ONCE...showed us a house above the price range we stated or outside the area we were looking to buy in. We had a limited budget, and given the market, it did take a few months to find what we wanted. Once we found a house, he was right there every step of the way keeping us informed, as we were in constant communication. I'm proud to say a friendship developed out of this. You'd be foolish to trust anyone else then him. He can be found at Community Real Estate and they have offices in McKinleyville (his home office) and Eureka. I called Charles to be my realtor when I bought my first home because I know he is very analytical and understands market conditions. I trust Charles and he sells lots of houses. He met my wife when he let us into the the first (and only) home he showed us. Two days later, we put in an offer and it was accepted in less than a week. Thirty days later, we closed.Charles is very energetic and went into crawl spaces and walked the property line through thick trees to show us important items. Charles recommended good contractors that we used to do our due diligence. There was a huge concern with the property, and Charles made sure that we understood how much it would be for repairs and he made sure that was reflected in the final price. He walked us through the loan process. He even went with me to the city to have our water service started! He was so very helpful and he did a very good job.

When I was thinking about buying a house, I called Charles after reading his outstanding reviews on Zillow. I'm so glad I did. I've bought and sold homes in the past, and Charles is far and away the best broker I've worked with. Charles is knowledgeable, kind, patient, and responsive. He's honest and ethical, and he takes seriously his fiduciary duty to you as a client. This means that Charles isn't trying to close just any deal, but actually makes sure he is representing and pursuing your best interests. Charles and I did a lot of investigation into the house I ended up buying, and he spent a great deal of time meeting with various contractors and experts along with me. Charles is also knowledgeable about construction and repair, which is a huge asset. He explained every aspect of the buying process thoroughly, and he's a joy to be with. I love the house I bought, but I'm sorry the process is over, because I miss Charles!
