I moved to the upstate of South Carolina from Canada via the Mid West and fell in love with this area. I would be happy to help you find your home here as well. My focus is mainly the North End of Lake Keowee in the Cliffs and The Reserve communities as well as specializing in Lake Jocassee properties. I show all properties without regard to who lists it. The buyer has a right to see everything that is available; developer inventory, MLS listed or FSBO and unlisted inventory. Bruce was an exceptional real estate agent for us in every way you can imagine. He has lived at the lake for many decades and his connections are unmatchable. He has a very professional reputation in the area for being trustworthy and knowledgeable. He and his team were an absolute pleasure to work with and always made themselves available. He also has an amazing staff--Laurie was responsive , prompt and on top of everything for us in regards to our transaction. They were also both incredibly patient with us as we went through multiple contracts before finally closing on our dream property. I have no doubt that if it wasn't for Bruce's reputation and connections, we wouldn't have been able to obtain the property we did. Bruce has knowledge about so many aspects of the area and we always felt that he was honest with us and that we were in really good hands. He went above and beyond trying to help us with matters that really had nothing to do with the transaction, so Bruce understands how to add value to his relationships above and beyond the service he offers. We couldn't speak highly enough of Bruce and think anyone who works with him and his staff would be blessed!

Bruce has a tremendous amount of expertise on lake properties...our experience with him was on Keowee. His connections at Keowee paid off for us incredibly well. He knows the lake. He knows people on the lake. He knows the recipe for putting a property with an owner. He was eager to put us in touch with reliable folks to help with the transition to ownership in a new town. He was truly focused on what we wanted. He found a gem for us and we could not be happier. It was a smooth, easy transaction in a market where chaos and pandemonium seem to be the norm. 2020 marks the 5th time within the past 8 years I have worked with Bruce May and Jocassee Real Estate. (Buying and selling a lakefront home on Lake Keowee; buying and selling a lot in Keowee Key; and buying and most recently selling a second lakefront home on Lake Keowee.) Experiencing a divorce which entails selling your family home as part of the financial settlement agreement is especially challenging, AND yet THANKFULLY Bruce and his kind and professional staff supported me through every step of the process. Bruces relational skills are the strongest I have personally experienced. Match this attribute with his business acumen, efficient use of time and prompt/clear communication . . . with all this occurring during the early months of COVID-19 . . . What can I say? In my history of buying and selling homes for the part 38 years, Bruce May has been the best realtor I have had the pleasure to work with.
