ZillowVERIFIEDI sent a question off into unknown e-space about a condo in Durango, CO, not our first choice but house prices there seemed prohibitive and we had decided to try out making Durango our summer retreat from the heat. Larry Smith responded to our simple question and within a very few weeks we had instead bought the house of our dreams with beautiful views of lakes, pines and mountains, located close to all conveniences in Pagosa Springs. How did that happen? Larry is a listener. He heard what we said and asked questions until he was sure he understood our true goals. He would have made the long drive to Durango to show us all the condos our hearts desired to see... but he threw in a suggestion, to just check out Pagosa Springs. Within 20 minutes, sitting in his office, he had a clear enough picture of what we really wanted to pull up some representative listings. He quickly made calls for spontaneous showings. We went on a drive, during which he helped us get and maintain our bearings: This area has these benefits. It is basically bordered by this street on the north and that street on the south. Here comes the grocery store on the right again, and up ahead we are passing the Walmart we saw on the way down the hill. Theres the performing arts center and just around the corner is the best breakfast cafe... etc etc.... He was introducing us to his town, and making us feel right at home there... this could become OUR town. When we pulled up in front of the house we both liked sitting in his office, Larry pointed out the mountains and names of all the streets while opening the door. We were met by a wall of windows with the most spectacular view. We were mind boggled as Larry explained the view being the area the balloons are visible many mornings, the names of the golf courses we could see and even the place the elk herds run. We closed on that very house and even after the move was complete he is still available to answer all the Which is the best hardware store? Where are the cross country skiing trail heads? Which internet provider is best? -types of questions we throw at him. If he doesnt know the answer to a question he does the research and gets back to us. Larry Smith is the person who will first discover exactly what you really want in a new piece of real estate, then use your valuable time showing you only what fits your hopes and dreams.
