As first-time homebuyers, my wife and I were overwhelmed with the thought of beginning this daunting journey. We interviewed three other agents, but ultimately chose Brian's team after our initial conversation. He was knowledgeable, experienced, and straightforward about his process and next steps. In addition, we received very strong recommendations from friends and family. Brian and Molly were our guides, gurus, and gladiators. Brian guided us through each step of the way. We told him that this was our first time, so we'd like to take it step-by-step and understand every phase. Brian was very patient with us and happy to answer any questions we had. "What direction is the home facing? How's the sunlight during the day? Does the location have good feng shui?" These were all items we would have never thought about but was great perspective when viewing homes. My wife was six months pregnant at the time and we lived 2 hours away from our desired cities. Their team efficiently scheduled multiple showings on the weekends in our desired areas to accommodate our distance and potential traffic. Brian was our guru and educator. We told him we had zero knowledge, so he educated us along the way. "What is an inspection contingency? What is a quarter-round? What is an escalation clause?" We learned so much through those weeks of communication with Brian. We had questions about renovations and potential vendors. Luckily, Brian and Molly have connections with trusted and reliable contractors for all types of work. This was a huge lift and helped us organize our thought process regarding potential renovations. His 20+ years of experience was invaluable in our communication - he had our full confidence. Lastly, when it came down to the negotiations - Brian was our gladiator. We had some appraisal issues that he was quick to address - late night correspondence and weekend communication.
