It didnt take long for Brett to understand what we were looking for. We had been looking for an appropriate home for five years and had experience with multiple agents who did not understand our specific needs, so working with Brett was a breath of fresh air. Out of a strong recommendation from my attorney, I chose Brett as my realtor to help guide me through complicated sales involving two properties. One was a larger home in Selinsgrove, and the other was a short sale of a much smaller home in Downtown Lewisburg. The short sale was contingent upon a second mortgage being placed on the Selinsgrove home. Brett was instrumental in not only communicating between my bank, my attorney, and potential buyers but also in informing me about any critical issues with the properties. I appreciated how brutally honest he was when certain modifications or repairs had to be done. He was also extremely knowledgeable about what homes in the area were sold recently and how my properties compared to them in terms of size, quality, and price. His advice on pricing always seemed to be in the best interest of my family. If there was one piece of criticism that I had to give, it would be that Brett likes to play it as safe as possible. There were some situations where I felt we could have squeezed a little bit more money if we took more risk. For example, Bretts final price recommendation on my Selinsgrove home was several thousand dollars lower than the price I chose to list it at. And we ended up getting an offer than exceeded that price/expectation. The short sale of my Downtown Lewisburg home attracted many buyers; I sometimes wonder if increasing the price would not have been so bad. Overall, I am grateful to Brett for helping me navigate through such a complex and uncertain housing situation.
