About Bonnie Black
BIC, ABR, CRS, GRI, SRES In August 2019 I completed 31 years as a full time real estate professional. In all these years I have put service and caring for my clients and customers first and the sales have mounted impressively earning awards on a national level as a consistent top producer. I am, however, proudest of the thanks and gratitude of the people I serve and the love and respect they show me. I have sold the mainland from the tiny seaside town of Calabash to the beautiful riverfront of Southport, NC and the beaches from Oak Island in NC throughout No. Myrtle & Myrtle Beach to the beaches in Litchfield/Pauley's Island area of SC. There is something here for every one and several dozen golf courses, too! I have a BS in Business from the University of Texas at Dallas and have earned the Accredited Buyer's Representative, Certified Residential Specialist and Graduate Realtor Institute designations as well as the Senior Real Estate Specialist. I have taken every opportunity to further my career and hone my skills as a salesperson. In addition, I am an active member and officer of the Brunswick County Association of Realtors, having served on the Board of Directors for 6 years and many committees. My knowledge and experience with the area I work and live in is unrivaled. While the enjoyment I get from helping people re-settle their lives or find the perfect vacation spot is more than reward enough I have been very grateful for the livelihood I have enjoyed while pursuing my career. It is a rare person who can do something they love, earn a good living and provide benefits to the community all at the same time. I feel very blessed and would love to meet and help you all!!

FAQ
Always make sure you are 100% in before you make your offer. The process can be fun and exciting but excruciating and painful at the same time. You need to be sure it will be worth the effort to end up with a home you love.
While location is important, price, price and price which is commiserate with the age, upgrades/updates and size will guarantee a sale. You cannot under price a home in today's market. Multiple offers within the first couple of days on the market will insure your get asking price or greater.
The majority are from out of town. Therefore, they are from all walks of life and all ages. Most are buying that retirement home - their dream home. Others want a second home/vacation home. Others buy for investment/rental opportunities, sometimes with the idea of retiring here in the near future. They are all just the nicest kind of folks and they love it here!
They are all special because every buyer has a story and are excited to start a new life in a new area. I recently had a single woman who had initially moved to another town in our state to be near relatives. After living there for a year or so, she realized it was not where she wanted to be and was not happy. She really had always wanted to live on the coast and be near the beach. She called me off a yard sign late on a Weds. We talked a while and it seemed like I really could help her. So, she came to the office and we talked for over an hour. We looked through the listings on line in our neighboring communities and made an appt. to meet the next day to look at a few. By the end of the day she was under contract to the perfect house in a lovely neighborhood. She moved in a few months ago and is just thrilled. It was very rewarding to know you helped someone start a new life and find the happiness they were seeking.
Since I graduated from college I had been in professional sales. When my husband and I moved to Calabash, there were no corporate sales positions available close by and I didn't want to travel anymore. So, turning to another type of sales, still challenging and offering the opportunity for a good livelihood was a natural. There was much to learn and it is a business with huge responsibility. I just loved it and have had a thriving business in an area I just love. I feel like the luckiest person around.
Yes!! I have diligently pursued educational opportunities, attending classes and seminars, webinars and participating in fairly in-depth courses and achieving a number of designations and certificates. A few of the most important are: Accredited Buyers Agent, Certified Residential Specialist, Graduate Realtor's Institute and Senior Real Estate Specialist.
