It was our first attempt at investing in real estate, and we had several doubts about moving forward. Integrity, Dedication, Strong Work Ethic, Intelligence, Instinct. These would be the core values that I would assign as the strongest displayed by Hridya during our home buying experience in Connecticut. My wife and I were making a move from Idaho to Connecticut, and to say that the experience in finding a realtor before meeting Hridya was without question: The most frustrating investment venture my wife and I both have ever been a part of, is an understatement. Realtors we had attempted to contact in the area based on reviews alone without local input were novice, rude, and obviously involved in some sort of schemes with other realtors to push certain listings over others (or Mortgage brokers). In the span of two weeks, we had already been through 4 Realtors, one of which simply telling us: "Either start doing what I tell you, or you're never getting a home." after trying to persuade us to sign up with a mortgage broker peddling an adjustable rate mortgage (the timeframe is July 2024 for future reference if that ends up being as predictive as I think it will) When we had knowledge I qualified for my VA loan and was not in need of such a offer. By the time we had ended up in the care of Hridya, we were both exceptionally frustrated, as we had both purchased homes before separately, one together, and never had a home searching experience this terrible. Rather than simply pass us on because we were already flustered and by that point: Blunt about our expectations, Hridya was understanding first, and patient next; listening and getting further information from us expanding on what we expected of her. She then let us know how she felt she could be a good fit for us but was completely transparent about two facts: 1. She had never done an interstate buy/sell contract before. 2. She had never done a VA Home loan before and there would be frustration and growing pains regarding that, but she was confident that she could get it done and that we wouldn't regret her as an agent, and that she was a highly adaptable, fast learner. And she was correct. Over the Course of the next Month, Hridya was able to assist us in virtually touring multiple homes and providing much needed "in person" information to us while she was providing the tours. Things like smells, atmosphere, cleanliness, and at one point, an eagle-eyed detection of water damage to a ceiling from an upstairs bathroom, that led to the realization that a "dream tub" that had recently been installed: was more likely an improperly installed nightmare waiting to absolutely destroy the honeymoon phase of moving into a new home. These insights, as well as at time moments of "Gut Feelings" from Hridya made it to where every offer made, was a well-considered, and grounded decision. Each time a seller declined our offer, Hridya had 3 more homes just as good to serve, with visits all but scheduled, just waiting on confirmation from us. Making the brutal offer rejection process; much, much easier to move on from, especially during the competitive market we were trying to purchase. Once we had an offer accepted by a potential seller, Hridya was able to navigate the final details with ease, and at many points, was required to address issues with the sellers fears of us abandoning our purchase, as well as a husband and wife (us) who were at our wits end selling our home, self-packing, and transporting ourselves across the country, Much of Hridyas job in closing was forced into a five day window between when we closed in our home to Idaho, and when we arrived the night before closing in Connecticut. We put our trust in our Broker, and our real estate agent, and when we arrived to the hotel, Hridya had fully delivered on everything promised, on time, and with little to no signs this was a new process to her. Hridya was always kind, happy, eager to work for us, while still being professional, even when my wife and I had reached points where we were mostly frustrated and tired, she was always able to answer back with calm, concise, forward movement and a plan, which is her job as a realtor. And she does it very well.
