Dunnellon is known for the beautiful crystal clear Rainbow Springs (the 7th largest fresh water spring in the world) which creates the Rainbow River that meanders peacefully through town into the Withlacoochee River (flows into the Gulf) know as one of Florida's best bass fishing rivers.
