Bernice has been a Realtor since 2008 and worked in the Real Estate Finance Industry for 20 years. She holds the designation of Certified Residential Mortgage Professional (CRMP), as well as Foreclosure & Short Sale Resource (FSR). She formerly served as the state secretary/treasurer of the Indiana Mortgage Bankers Association and was a member of the Freddie Mac's Community Lenders National Advisory Board. In addition, Bernice was presented with the 2006 Affiliate Member of the Year award by the Terre Haute Association of Realtors. She earned a First Financial Bank's President Award in 2007 and was Awarded the Richard D. Newport Award for the United Way of the Wabash Valley in February 2010. She is a graduate of Ohio Valley University. Bernice was awarded the 2013 Good Neighbor Award from the National Association of Realtors. in 2013 Bernice was given the Coldwell Banker Hero of the Year Award.

Personally, Bernice and Troy have four children: Craig, Sarah, Ryan, and Abbe. Bernice is an accomplished vocalist and has performed in such venues as the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra.
