BEWARE! Ben Cannon of United Country Montana Properties and Two20 Property Management hurt our business by not communicating with us, inadequately vetting and managing our tenants, allowing staff and contractors to provide lackluster service for our properties, and reneging on the duties outlined in our contract with him. As our property manager, he almost never returned phone calls and refused to answer emailed questions. He placed tenants who cost us thousands of dollars in damages, legal fees and unpaid rent and often refused to inspect their apartments when problems arose. His staff and contractors often took two months or more to make our vacated apartments rentable again. He also twice tried to violate the terms of our contract and disavow his duties to us during difficult situations with tenants that he exacerbated through his passive management and adversarial responses to our many requests for assistance. And, while our buildings were under contract to be sold, he provided misinformation to realtors and to us that imperiled their sale.
