About Barbara Heimana
I have enjoyed helping sellers and buyers with their real estate needs on both the east and west side of the Big Island. I believe my former vacation rental management and commercial real estate experiences have proven helpful when assisting investors in determining options for their real estate holdings. I remain focused and diligent throughout the transaction process making sure that deadlines are met on time. I enjoy making the transaction process as smooth as possible, keeping parties informed every step of the way. For fun, my family and I take advantage of traveling and participating in many outdoor activities the Big Island offers. In 2015 I completed a Waikoloa Lavaman Triathlon. I enjoy volunteering in several of the islands non-profit organizations such as Friends of the Library Waikoloa and their literacy programs and Recycle Hawaii.

FAQ
I suggest to buyers that they should get pre-qualified before looking for real estate. This will give them the confidence needed knowing how much they can afford and will assist in the negotiations process.
I let sellers know that pricing their home correctly is crucial to the integrity of the sale of the property. Why? If the house is too high it will get a bad image which affects the type of offers that get submitted.
I have had the privilege to represent commercial investors in buying, selling and leasing their real estate buildings. I enjoyed working with tenants and existing business owners, helping them find the perfect location for their business, as well as; negotiating lease terms and tenant improvements.
I have also appreciated helping buyers and sellers with their residential needs, whether it be a land to build their home, home/condo or second home or vacation rental.
One of my more recent transactions I enjoyed was working with a woman from Spokane Washington. She found my name on the internet and called. I returned her call and found out that she was just looking and really wanted to know how realistic it was to live in Hawaii. I let her know it's very realistic. We talked for awhile and I was learning about her needs and found that she would need to sell her house in Spokane in order to make this real. I called a friend in Washington who said it was too far for him to handle but sent me to a friend of his out in Spokane. Well long story short, we were able to get her house sold in Washington and buy the house here within 60 days from the initial conversation. That was a great transaction. My client was so happy and still to this day is so happy she is living her dream here in Hawaii.
I started my career in Washington State in 1995. I worked in a family owned commercial real estate investment and property management company as a personal assistant. I got licensed in 1997 and started doing my own transactions. In 2001 I moved to the Big Island and received my Hawaii real estate license in 2005. And have been helping buyers and sellers since.
