Arlan Newell

Arlan, a native Kansan, has been helping clients buy and sell real estate since 1993. Arlan accepted the position of branch manager of the Newton J.P. Weigand office in July of 2009. He is past President of the Newton Area Board of REALTORS®, and is currently a member of the South Central Kansas Board of Directors. Arlan has served on the Professional Standards Committee for many years and has been Chairperson for numerous ethics and arbitration disputes. Arlan has also taught the ethics class for the Newton Board for several years. Arlan is well known in the community and has been active in many community events including helping build Habitat for Humanity houses and has coached many different sports at the local Recreation Center. Arlan has a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Computer Science minor. Before starting his career in real estate, Arlan was a math and computer science teacher, teaching courses such as calculus, trigonometry and advanced computers. He also coached several sports including football, basketball, wrestling and track. He loves problem solving and is a master at making it a win-win situation for everyone involved. Finally, Arlan is a dedicated professional with an extensive background in sales and marketing. He is a certified Cartus Relocation Specialist and was only 1 of 5 agents in the Wichita Metro area to receive REALTOR.com's Online Marketing Award of Excellence. He was also 1 of 12 REALTORS® of all REALTORS® in Kansas to be selected to join and graduate from the Right Track Program through the Kansas Association of REALTORS®.
