We had a very disappointing experience with Stephen Mele. From the start, it felt like he took us on for the commission, not because he had the time to support us. He was too busy to show us the home (the seller did it), failed to finalize our inspection requests, and his communication was poor and confusingaEUR"including sending us texts clearly meant for other clients. He also didnt seem to fully understand certain parts of the process; when issues came up, he was unhelpful and uninformed. He vaguely confirmed our final walkthrough, and when I reached out to confirm, he said he couldnt make itaEUR"so we walked through the house alone with the lockbox code. That is concerning. If youre selling with him, know that he gives out your lockbox codeaEUR"meaning you have no idea how many people might have access to your home. Promises (like picking up the lockbox and dropping off a aEURoegiftaEUR?) after closing were never followed through. The only time he was proactive was when discussing his compensation. Overall, he gives Houlihan Lawrence a bad name. We will certainly be sharing this experience so others know to avoid.
