He has also served on the MLS Rental and MLS Forms task forces as well as numerous candidate screening committees and the Short Sales/Foreclosure committee. He has headed up successful task forces dealing with streamlining county procedures for closing open building permits and having utilities turned on for inspections of foreclosed and short sale properties. In his role as President of the Oceanside Business Association, Al has been instrumental in having the weekly beachside farmers market and monthly Sunset Saturday concerts continue through the off season summer months. In addition, he led the effort to insure the continuation of the annual Oceanside Christmas parade. He was a leading proponent and supporter of both the Oceanpark Development and the improvements to Humiston Park and Sexton Plaza. He also took the lead in the successful effort to have beach based shark fishing and chumming stopped on the beaches in the City of Vero Beach. Al recently ran for the Vero Beach City Council on a program recommending negotiating with FP&L for an offer and evaluating it and all other opportunities prior to making a commitment to sell the city electric utilities without due diligence. For vacations Al spends his time as a member of Tony Robbins senior leadership group coaching and volunteering at seminars around the world.
