Adam Bast has been a very helpful agent in a number of specific ways: 1.) I first contacted him on Zillow regarding a home and some land that I was interested in. He promptly showed me the house and had done his homework to answer the many questions I had. I was interested in the property, but it was clear that I could afford it only if I sold my present home...which he said he would also take care of. 2.) After visiting my home personally, he brought a team of agents by my home to get their opinions on the value of my home and how to best market it. It is a 140 year old historic landmark and so has some special considerations...including my insistence on a "special" price. 3.) Rather than taking a shortcut by sticking a sign in my front yard, Adam and I agreed that a few plaster wall repairs, a couple of bathroom overhauls, and some interior paint would help to put the house in cosmetic condition to find the price that I wanted. Still with no guarantees for my business, he found me a competitive contractor to take care of the work that my house needed. He brought the contractors by my home and has stayed on them since to get the work done and done right. 4.) In the mean time, Adam knew by now that I wanted a little hunting and fishing land in the country. He continued to send me updates on this type of property. Being an avid outdoorsman himself, he had a good eye for exactly what I was looking for. 5.) We eventually found some grade A hunting land on the St. Croix River, which he took me to see. I bought it through him. The transaction from start to finish went without a hitch. Because the land had special zoning constraints being part of the National Scenic Riverway, I had lots of questions about what I could or could not do with the land. Adam promptly answered all of my questions. If he did not know the answers himself, he did all of the research to find the answers for me. 6.) In and earlier on-line review, I had given Adam four stars for his attentive service to me. I told him then that the only reason I didn't give him 5 stars is because he had not brokered a deal for me. Well that has happened now, flawlessly. So I keep my word here. 7.) I apologize to the reader for such a lengthy account of my experience with Adam Bast. I submitted a much shorter review, but Zillow rejected it for the reason of "insufficient detail". Apparently Zillow takes these reviews more seriously than e-bay. Is this enough detail, Zillow? 8.) Bottom line: I will do more business with Adam Bast in the future. I have already recommended him to my friends and professional colleagues.What I submitted before: Nice Guy. Plenty helpful and prompt. Good guy to shop for land with. Just bought a piece of land through Adam. Completely smooth transaction. Recommend this agent.
