Our home selling experience was nothing short of nerve-wracking as we were in need of perfect timing, and precision, selling our house in one state and buying in another. Jesse and Lori and Nur worked day and night to meet our near-impossible goals and even offered baby and pet sitting during the rocky parts of the home sale experience. At the heart of their company lies a work ethic supported by a strong moral code that extends not just to their clients, but also to the other parties involved. From the very first contact with Jesse and Craig at GreenHouse Group, I knew we were in going to be okay with our massive move from the East Coast to San Diego. We've had numerous realtors in the past, and were quite frankly blown away by the level of sincere service, thoughtfulness and professionalism of these guys. We first met with Jesse and Craig over Skype and Jesse did a good job clarifying how and why GreenHouse is different from the rest....its a long list. We gave them our preferences for homes and they did not fail at being our ears and eyes on the ground before we moved to SD. After arriving in SD, we had a very small timeframe to buy a house for another of reasons. We put a an offer or two on a house we really wanted that was for going for "short sale". As first time home buyers, we had no clue what we were getting into. Luckily, Jesse wrote the freaking book on short sales (literally!!!) and we were so comfortable with the whole process. Thankfully, the deal did not go through. I say thankfully because Im writing this review from our actual dream home in our dream "hood." Craig used his Jedi mind tricks and was able to finagle a $140,000 price reduction for our house (seriously). Throughout the whole process, Craig's on the spot availability (pretty amazing), patience and support really helped us work out buying our home. I remember Craig stating that he was "shoulder to shoulder" with us and that he was going to fight for everything we wanted. Well, he was exceptionally successful. He also got a home warranty, an amazing consideration when buying a 100 year old house, and has to date, saved us over $20,000 in home repairs (yes!). In brief, if we want to call this review anything of the sort, is the GreenHouse group made us family like family. They were exceptionally patient with our apprehensions, multitudes of questions, and late night questions-Craig and Jesse wrote back almost immediately. I really think that its because they really love their jobs. Its hard to fake that, at least for a long time. When we got the keys to our house, we were inundated with home goodies and other lovely gifts and even had an impromptu little party (an Irish inspired theme...). Almost a year later, we still chat with Jesse and Craig, which really exemplifies the relationship that they promote with their clients. Moving across the country is really hard, buying a house in California is not child's play and this combination was not easy for us as we established ours jobs and settled the family, but GreenHouse Group really assuaged the process. I learned to simply trust that they were going to knock it out of the park. Thanks guys. We will be calling you all up for your services if we ever decide to sell our lovely dream house.
Best advice I can give if you're trying to sell or buy a home: Stop your search now. Call Jesse at the GreenHouse Group. All of your real estate problems solved. We were looking to sell our home and use the proceeds to buy a new home in Point Loma. This caused us a lot of anxiety. What would we have to sacrifice to make this happen? Would we have to move multiple times? Would we have to sell at a bargain price? Would we have to overpay on the house we purchased or buy something that we didn't love? Something had to give.... I'm here to tell you that we got EVERYTHING WE WANTED and gave up nothing strictly due to the fact that we went with the GreenHouse Group. We listed our house significantly over what I thought we could get for it and ended up selling it for significantly over list price! We got a 30-day rent back so we didn't have to move out until 30 days after it sold. We got a fantastic deal on our perfect home that we purchased despite significant competition and several other offers. We closed on our new home and moved in with time to spare meaning we did all this and only had to move once! There were SO MANY THINGS that could have gone wrong and yet seemingly, with the GreenHouse Group, everything just went right - literally everything. We are so thankful to Jesse and his AMAZING team: Craig (our primary buyer's agent) represented us masterfully and ensured we got the right home at the right price at the right time. Renata made our house look amazing to help it sell for over list price - I still remember coming home from work to see it staged for the first time and our home looked so good, it almost made me not want to sell it anymore! And of course Jesse, the mastermind behind it all, who received way too many of my text messages. Beyond ensuring we got the maximum amount we could get for our house, he was the glue that held it all together - he talked us off the ledge when we needed it; he provided us the honest truth even when at times it was hard to hear; he was responsive, a natural negotiator and ultimately I felt that he (and the whole team) truly wanted the best for me and my family. In the end, there is no doubt that the decision to go with the GreenHouse Group truly was the absolute best decision for my family.
Jesse and his team at The GreenHouse Group helped me sell my home. But when I say 'helped', that is in fact a gross understatement. Jesse and his phenomenal team were pivotal in making the sale of my home even possible. I had a very unique property and certain elements of this sale turned out to be rather complex. Jesse was by my side the entire time. He kept me posted at every turn; detailed e-mails and phone conversations were constant throughout the process. If an issue came up, a solution was already in the works. This particular deal required a HUGE amount of problem solving in areas I was not familiar with, yet everything was explained to me in great detail and decisions were made as a team. I was truly amazed at the pace he and his team worked at. I can only put that down to the years of experience they have and level of efficiency at which they operate. I must say, reflecting on this deal, what I appreciate the most was that throughout the entire process, there was always a can-do attitude. I would absolutely consider Jesse not only the person who did everything he could to help me sell my home, but a friend. Jesse and his team helped us to buy and then 3 years later sell our home due to an out of state job change. In everything, Jesse was intuitive, communicative, patient, and knowledgeable. He and his team guided us through a very complicated short sale on the buying end, and then helped us maneuver through a traditional sale. He was incredible and we know we would not have been able to do it without him and his team, and he took us who knew absolutely nothing about real estate and made the whole thing understandable. Jesse and the GreenHouse Group team are the most thorough real estate services company I have ever worked with. I've bought and sold multiple homes in the past and this was, by far, the greatest experience. Jesse hand held us through the entire process. First, we came in, had a meeting to discuss our goals and objectives. We settled on a plan to both sell my condo and buy a new home. One of the things that was most impressive is that our photos that were used to market our condo for sale were beyond professional. It's something that Jesse does because he knows that pictures on an iPhone are not going to sell our house. Included in our photos was a video taken from a drone that showed our property from an aerial view. That is some next level stuff there. The best thing about working with Jesse, is that you get all of his resources. Everyone on his team is an expert in the transaction point they are helping you with. So, rather than an agent that is a jack of all trades, master of none, all of the members of the Greenhouse Group have an area of expertise and they execute that area flawlessly. We sorted through countless reviews when looking for an agent to help us sell our house. With so many glowing reviews for GHG, I learned first hand why. We planned on being in a different state when we sold. So we needed a firm that would be able to handle that. We had Jesse (Realitor) and Renata (designer) walk through the house to see what they thought. They put together a general plan for the things that should be done to get maximum value for the house. Our situation: We owned a 3 Bed 2 Bath house in Kearney Mesa. We had 6 months to get the house ready for the sale. Our house had unpermitted additions that added value to the house but were none the less....Unpermitted. Jesse was excited about the house but had no reservations talking about some of the things that can come up in Escrow due to the unpermitted additions. Renata was up to the task too. We didnt want to make any design decisions. She knew better then anyone, what buyers are looking for. So it was nice to not have to make any decisions about design. We knew from the day we decided to sell that we no longer had a aEURoehomeaEUR?. It was now an income property. An investment. Jesse and Renata shared our vision for putting some money into the house so we could maximize our investment. After coming up with a plan that fit our budget we decided to start renovations. We used two different contractors from TheGreenHouses contacts. Both did a great job and were very reasonably priced. We all met at the house again to come up with a plan for the kitchen with our remaining budget. We came up with a great midddle ground aEURoeface liftaEUR? with the kitchen that would really make the house pop......without popping our designated budget. Its worth noting that there were several times during renovations, I would ask them if we should be doing MORE to the house? They would say aEURoeLets stick to the budget and trust the processaEUR?. They could have easily said, aEURoeyoure right. That would really help the house sellaEUR?. But they had our interests at heart and wanted to make sure that they did right by us. This was when I knew that we hired the right people. Our timeline changed when our second child came 2 weeks earlier then expected. We came together and concluded we should vacate the house a little earlier so the workers could bang the job out and we come to market a little earlier then expected. We were going to test GreenHouses abilities to finish the sale while we were out of state. The day before we moved to Colorado, we all met one last time at the house. We went over all the things left to do to the house. We hugged and said our goodbyes. Our house was now in their hands and my family couldnt have felt more comfortable with the situation. Moving is stressful enough. Jesse and Renata made it easy to focus on the move. The work on the house was completed (right on time and budget). The house was staged, by Renata, and ready to be shown. The pictures were amazing. The market got a little hotter since our first meeting and the house looked amazing so Jesse suggested we should list at $578,000. Thanks to GreenHouses amazing marketing team, we had 14 weekend showings scheduled in the first 2 days!!! We got 8 offers for ABOVE asking price. Then we got the offer we couldnt refuse. $24k above asking price. Things got even better when Jesse somehow bid them UP to $600,000. We were all skeptical that the house would appraise for $600k with the unpermitted work. We were at the mercy of the appraisers. But Jesse put us in position to get the maximum amount of money that we could get. Jesse met the appraisers at the house. They all collaborated and had an open dialog about the aEURoeworthaEUR? of the unpermitted additions. The final appraisal came back at $600,000! All thanks to Jesse aEURoeshowing them the lightaEUR?. The buyers inspector found several things that needed repair (as most do and should). So we did the work that we work we thought to be fair. Jesse was on top of hiring the correct contractors to get the work done. All done well and reasonably priced. Electricians were super busy during this period so we couldnt find one to do the work. Instead of going with an unproven electrician, we decided to offer them a $1,500 credit to complete the electrical needs on their own. Long story short, Jesse used his savvy experience to close the deal. With Jesses amazing negotiating/salesmanship skills, Renatas keen eye for design and managing our budget and the long list of team members on the GreenHouse team.....we ended up closing the deal for $22,500 above our HIGH asking price. Selling a house is stressful. Everyone thinks you just put it on the market and you sell. Well that is NOT how it works. Jesse prepared us for this reality the first time we met. He prepared us for the issues that would probably come up. We were a TEAM from the start. We made a plan and executed it. I'm so happy that we had the good fortune to find them
I love the Greenhouse Group!! Why? Because they sold my old home in 4 hours after it hit the MLS. And they helped me find a new home that I absolutely LOVE! Jesse has the knowledge of the market, home values and the keen eye in marketing your home for sale. But Renata is his secret weapon! She comes in and makes your home so beautiful that you get top dollar on the sale!! I highly recommend the GHG for buying, selling and/or refinancing your home! They treat you like family and really care about you and your most precious asset...your home!
