Greatest realtor in the greater Lake Charles area ! Answered all questions even after hours, there every step of the way and outstanding knowledge of the process . She actually had the very difficult job of being our realtor and the sellers realtor and did outstanding.
We would not recommend Bailey to my friends or neighbors. First, her follow-through is less than ideal. Our home was not pinned on Zillow and her response was that she no longer had the ability to fix the issue. It turned out to be an easy fix: simply emailing Zillow (which we did three months after our house was initially listed!). Once the issue was fixed, Bailey admitted that she actually made an error in the listing which is why our house was not pinned - but she never checked when we initially brought the issue to her attention in January! The most egregious problem we had is with an offer that we accepted in April. The buyer stated that she did not need to sell another house in order to buy our house, she was putting down $100,000, and she wanted to take early possession of our home if we did not close by a specific date. We countered her offer, rejecting the early occupancy, however, during the negotations, Bailey continued to draft language that she hoped we would find agreeable regarding early occupancy. We would never agree to early occupancy. After we had a fully executed contract, the buyer missed the 10-day inspection period (she completed the inspection on day 13), however, instead of telling the agent/buyer that the inspection was for their information only, Bailey accepted the buyers list of repairs (and again a request for early occupancy). The purchase contract is clear: if the buyer misses the 10-day window, the buyer purchases the house as-is. If the buyer meets the 10-day window, then the buyer can negotiate repairs. Bailey wanted us to sign the request but state that we would not make any repairs. We refused to sign the document because the request was moot given that the buyer missed the deadline. Then without our permission, Bailey allowed the buyer access to my home to make repairs (before we even had a closing date)! The buyers requested closing date (a Tuesday) came and went. The next day, Bailey sends us a contract extension giving the buyer three extra days (to Friday). On Thursday, we find out that the buyer did, in fact, need to sell a house in order to buy our home, however, when her mortgage company verified her funds needed to close (prior to the sale of her home)....she did not have 100K+ in her account so her loan was denied! Ironically, it is our understanding that she closed on the sale of her home that same day but given that she presented false information on our purchase agreement, her mortgage company was also unaware that she needed to sell her home in order to have the funds to buy our home. It is unclear if the buyer ever signed the contract extension which means that we did not have a valid contract as of Tuesday and the following Monday, the buyer told the Title Company that we, the sellers, refused to give her an extension so over the weekend, she made an offer on another house. We are very thankful that we never agreed to early occupancy. The buyer misrepresented everything about her situation and she did not meet any deadline. We have no doubt that she would now be a squatter living in our home, most likely not paying rent, and we would be unable to sell our home while trying to evicting her! We honestly do not believe that Bailey ever acted as our agent to protect our interests.
